Michael Tucker, Principal Program Manager; National Grid plc
Michael Tucker is the EHS&S Principal Program Manager for National Grid US, responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining the Environmental Management System across all National Grid operations in Northeastern United States. The National Grid US Environmental Management System is registered to be in conformance with International Standard ISO 14001:2015.
With a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and following service in the United States Navy as a commissioned officer, Michael has been actively engaged in the management of environmental matters for National Grid or its predecessor companies for 30 years. Prior to his present assignment, Michael was involved in project licensing, environmental remediation activities, waste characterization, management of the company's environmental testing laboratories, and air emissions reporting to US EPA, States and the Carbon Disclosure Project. He is also the architect and sole administrator of a legacy Environmental Management Information System that saw use for nearly 15 years.
